The project is for adaptive re-use of a complex of seven houses, located in the historic core of the city of Batak. The new program was developed for 24 hotel rooms with restaurant and a tavern. The project was a part of the town’s revitalization as a local tourist center. The houses received new sanitary infra structure; the original wood frame was preserved and partially reinforced by steel, where necessary. All facades were restored with their original details. Design was developed in 1986. Construction was complete in 1988.
