The project is for interior design and décor of an apartment in a historic house, built around 1890. The main architectural intervention was the restitution of the original axial “en-filade”. The spaces around the main axis received contextual treat ment with the restoration of original moldings and details where partially preserved and re-inventing the spirit of the epoch where new additions have overwritten the originals. The décor was intended to fit many of the period furniture pieces collected by the client over the years. The design was developed in 1997-1998.
