232 East 68 Street is a gut renovation and interior re-design of a five story townhouse located on the Upper east Side of Manhattan.
The house is set up as a two family condominium – an Upper Duplex and a Lower Triplex. Each has its own private entrance. The lower triplex has a flexible live/work space and south-facing garden. The gross area is 6,600 sf.
The interiors have been re designed in the classic “Upper East Side Vernacular” to evoque timeless sophistication: Both apartments have state of the art kitchen appliances: Sub-Zero refrigerators, Viking stoves, Bosch and Miele dish washers, granite countertops, cherry wood cabinets. The lower triplex has a wood-burning fireplace. Bathrooms are clad in marble tiles and are outfitted with brand name fixtures that supplement the traditional look.
Design and construction took place in 2003-2004.
